Marvel Legends Legendary Riders Punisher Review

HASBRO: Marvel Legends Legendary Riders Punisher

Today we are reviewing the Marvel Legends Legendary Riders Punisher made by Hasbro. For this figure, Hasbro went with a more stripped-down Punisher ( Frank Castle) rather than the spandex look we are more accustomed to seeing. This grittier Punisher is sporting black jeans and a cut off t-shirt with the Punisher Skull logo. Frank also includes an all-Black motorcycle, various weapons, a spare head, and a Viking helmet! The bike has been used been used previously by Hasbro in other sets, but it is such a solid design that they’ve decided to get some mileage out of it. It’s a nice dark silhouette that would work well with various other 6" scale figures. In all honesty, I bought this figure only because the bike felt like it would be a natural fit with my new G.I. Classified Zartan figure ( https://rave807.wixsite.com/retrouniverse/post/zartan-the-master-of-disguise-review-gi-joe-classified-series ).

This Punisher is more than just a kick-ass Zartan bike though - the Frank Castle figure is great. Frank looks grizzled, and is served up with an armoury of weapons to bash thugs heads in with. I would buy this Punisher figure if it was released individually.

The Punisher’s body construction is a reworked Netflix Luke Cage figure with new head and arms. Frank has a half beaten look going on, with cuts and bandages on his face on one head. The other head has black eyes or bags under them that make Frank look tired and pissed off - He truly looks like he's not having any. Frank shares a stunning resemblance to the scum he is looking to punish. There is a strong ‘Negan’ of The Walking Dead comics look. Down the road I could see myself turning him into Negan - complete with ‘Lucille’ to help aid in the bashing in of Zombie heads.

What’s included with the figure for accessories baseball bat machete Uzi Tec-9 double-barrelled sawed-off shotgun extra head with bandages and a bloodshot eye and gritting teeth Viking style helmet( from 2019 5-issue limited Marvel Comic series called Punisher Kill Krew)

Some little details i like the Punisher logo on the speedometer and the NYC licence plate, those are nice little details that add to the look of the all black bike, soon it might spot a nice Cobra logo on the gas tank 😉.

This Punisher comes with an overwhelming assortment of weapons - too many really. If there’s one issue I have with the set is that there’s nowhere to put all of his accessories when they’re not in use. A holster on his back for the sawed-off shot gun would be nice, or a sheath for the machete. Even something to hold the baseball bat on the bike would have been welcome. The bat also looks a little too pristine for this figure as well. If Frank’s such a bad-ass, why does his bat look like it was purchased straight from the sporting goods isle? Some kind of wear on the bat would have been nice - A little blood, sweat & tears. These are minor issues, and doesn’t change that this is one of the best figures I've purchased from the Marvel Legends line.

Stay tuned for more reviews and action figure retrospectives in the coming weeks!
